Snowflake

I love SU's new ornament stamps and punches!  I wanted to try and make the Christmas ornament that is on the cover of their catalog.  My favorite colors for Christmas are blue and white.  I used silver embossing on the smaller ornaments.  I have seen the ornament on Splitcoast and Pinterest.  You can check out the video instructions I found on Pinterest here-

It is a little bit of work but work the effort!  I used a tulle- like cloth that already had little gems attached.  Here are some more pictures-

Batty for you!

I could not resist using the "Fun Fold" technique for my "Batty" card!  If you check out my last blog post you will see it used as an Anniversary card.  I have Joan's video link there for the instructions on how to make a Fun Fold card.  It is an easy card to make - in part because Joan's instructions are fabulous!

Here is a couple more shots of this card open and closed-with the belly band. I love the eyes on this bat!  Especially, when it is closed!!  I can't figure out why I like making Halloween cards so much! I think I make more Halloween cards than Christmas cards!!  This technique just screamed "Bat" to me!

Anniversary Fun Fold Card

Happy Anniversary Russ & Connie!

I found the instructions for this Fun Fold card on Pinterest!  Connie and Russ are celebrating their 7th anniversary!  A special time for them!  Check out Joan's blog for a fabulous video tutorial that shows you how to make this unique card.

http://joansdailystampede.blogspot.com/2012/07/trending-tuesday-36-halloween-fun-fold.html

I used acrylic that I embossed to make it look like church windows. I had to use Scor tape to adher it to the card.   The bride and groom are from a Cheery Lynn Design die.  I sprayed them with a mist of pearlized ink.  The flowers are from Memory Box dies.  Here are a few more pictures-

I used a Belly Band to keep this card closed.  The front of the card has another Memory Box die to add a little decoration.  I love how the card came out and it was sooo easy to make!  Special card for special people!!

This was perfect for our daughter Emily's 30th birthday!  The real fun is decorating it with pictures and dies and all kinds of stuff!   I can see using this for Halloween & Christmas- really any Holiday!  I will have to try a few more and experiment with difference colors and embellishments! Check out a few more pictures  after adding pics of Em when she was little.

Flat Backed Halloween Treat Box

I loved this Flat Blacked Treat Box!  You should go to Splitcoast Stampers and check out the instructions that show right in the Gallery page!  The box itself will hold little pieces of candy like Hershey's nuggets!  Yum!  This is so easy to make too- from one sheet of cardstock!  Here is a link you can use to find Flat Backed Treat Box-

I found the silhouette of the witch on Pinterest ....somewhere out there.  I will go back and see if I can find the link.  I traced the witch on black paper with pencil and then cut it out by hand.  I used a little bit of silver ink to show moon glow on her.  The background paper is from Graphic 45.  I love this paper!!!  The bats and ghosts and cat are from Sizzix.  I use these Halloween dies every year- they are my favorite!

Here is a picture of the back of the box!  It is a great place to use a sentiment!

Update:  I went back and found the site for the silhouette of the witch! Luckily, I had saved it to my Halloween board.  Here is the link-

Halloween Cards!

I have been busy making a few Halloween cards.  I bought some Graphic 45 paper on sale! I love the colors of this fabulous paper- perfect for Halloween!  I used alot of my Sizzix dies to embellish these cards.  Take a look at the inside-

The inside of the cards are a 6 x 6 square that I scored at 3 inches - then turn the paper and score again at 3 inches.  The last score is on the diagonal.  I was inspired by this blog -

Of course, it's not in English but you can see from the picture how to score the page.   Once scored you can collapse the card as you see above.  It is then glue/taped into the fold of my Halloween card.  I love how it opens up when you open the card!  I used Martha Stewards punch around the corner Spider Web on the card on the left.  Here are some close - ups-

I traveled today to Brimfield, Mass for the giant outside flea market with my sisters, again!  We went in July but it was sooo hot!  We thought today would be much more fun with cooler weather.  I could not believe how many people turned out!  Many more than in July!!  Here are just a few pictures of some the wonderful items there- What a fun day!

Gables boxes!

We made this cute Gable box at my sister, Rochelle's, Stampin Up party last weekend! They are really cute and so easy to make.  I chose pink & white decorations.  I added the Cheery Lynn heart die when I got home.  You can find the directions to make this cute box on Splitcoast stampers tutorial page- here is the link-

Here is the back view of the box above-

Of course, I am already thinking ahead to Halloween!  For some reason, I love making stuff for Halloween.  I think it is because I use colors for Halloween that I don't really use the rest of the year.  Here is a picture of the same box decorated for Halloween-

The Witch's shoe is a template that I found on Ellen Hutson's site.  The paper is from Graphic 45- I love their paper! I have used the Sizzix's Halloween dies every year!   More pics-
