Paper Bag Album

Oh, what fun I have been having!  I love, love this Paper Bag AlbumYou have to check out Ginger's FABULOUS video tutorial on My Sisters Scrapper!  She does a wonderful job of laying out the instructions in a 5 part video series.  It really is easy to do if you follow her instructions!

Here are some pictures of my album.  I have not yet finished with all the embellishments but I couldn't resist showing you the inside of the album.  We are headed to Disney shortly for a vacation - I plan on making an album of our trip!  This all started with a PAPER BAG!!!  It is hard to believe.!!!  The right side has a fold out flap.  I can add pictures, journaling and more tags!  I can't wait to add some embellishments!

The left side in yellow is a pocket to slide a tag into!
I love the little  pockets you can make

The right side is call "Waterfall"

I will take pictures once I have finished this album!!!

Engagement!

Valentine's Day is over but I wanted to make a romantic card for my nephew and his new fiance!  I used Martha Stewart's punch around the page for the background.  The silhouette is from Cheery Lynn Designs as is the ornate heart that surrounds them.  I used a Spellbinder's die ( what is it called?)  with silver paper for the center.

Here is a shot of the back of the card- This is an older Stampin Up stamp( can't remember the name of this one either)- that I love!

I am so happy for both of them!!!  I haven't made an engagement card in ages!!

Secret Boxes

Well, the storm is finally over and the sun is shining!  I got out of work early on Friday and we didn't even open on Saturday!   What a storm!  But it did give me plenty of time in my studio to make these cute Secret Boxes!  I love the size and how cute they are when they are open.  It gives you lots of options for decorating.

I saw Norma's Secret box on Pinterest and was inspired to try my own! She has a link to the tutorial that is on Splitcoast Stampers.  Check out Norma's blog here -

I thought I would show you a couple of pictures of our sun room after the big storm.  The wind was terrific during the storm.  We did get 31.9 inches of snow in this storm.  But the drifting was what was amazing!  That is a snow drift that goes UP our sliding doors.  Yikes!  It looks like an Igloo!!

We usually don't get any snow on our porch!  We won't be sitting out there enjoying the sun much today!  Tom is going to have to shovel it out!!   I can't wait for Spring to come!!!

House Warming!

Front of card

I have been busy this weekend making a card for my nephew and his fiance!  The just became engaged this weekend!  I am so happy for both of them!  I used the Sizzix Accordian Flip die to make this card.  I love how different it is!

I can see many uses for this type of card.  I tried to create a few different scenes on each panel.   I also bought the corresponding die that cuts out the inside center and the surrounding panel.  It makes it easier to decorate.

Check out Karen Burniston's great tutorial on her Accordian Flip card-

Here is another shot of my card -

I also made some Gold Tiaras for the office awards banquet which is this week!  The theme is "All that Glitters IS Gold"! We are all wearing gold that night to celebrate.   It should be a fun time!  These are attached to headbands with Scor Tape.  I used a Spellbinder's die to attach it and just added some bling! They really Sparkle!
