Eclipse Technique

My sister's and I get together once a week to have fun with crafts!  This past week it was a new technique called Eclipse.  Such fun!  It is just using your alphabet dies and raising them up with, well I used foam tape.

You can stamp your own scene but we used pictures that my sister, Rochelle took of Portland Head light.

The picture above was one of mine of the lake  from our trip to Northern Maine.   The garden below
is Rochelle's garden.  So pretty! It's hard to see but it's the word LOVE.

This coming weekend is a birthday party for Connie's grand baby's first birthday!  I love celebrating that first birthday!

I used Spellbinder's 3D die for this card.  For the inside, I used Memory Box dies to create
the tunnel.

The animals are from Karen Burniston's dies. These are so cute to use!!

We are gearing up for a Christmas craft fair in December.  It's hard to shift your focus on Christmas projects but that is what I am going to attempt this week.  The non sewing Christmas balls will help.  Hope the humidity stays down!  Sweating while you work is not fun!!

August update

As hot as it has been and with all the fun family things going on- I have still managed to spend some time in my craft room!  While the family was here we had a craft day where we showed how to make no sewing quilted ornament balls!  That was really a lot of fun!  I used the same fold to make this Angel.  Well, the body of the Angel anyway- the head is the Kimikomi technique.  Check out this video on how to do Kimikomi-

I made just a few boo boos on the head.  But I am hoping to get better at it with practice!

I made this Christmas ornament using more basic Christmas colors.  On a previous post, I showed other balls I made with more country colors.   I am loving these things!

I have also been making cards using Spellbinder's die by Becca Feeken.  I love these guys!  The "Bundle of Joy" die is an add on but it works perfectly for Baby cards!

I used Vellum on the back of the Boy card so I could use a little light behind the card.  If you are displaying this card it really pops with the light behind it.

Sorry for the long post but I wanted to end with some pictures of our weekend trip to Stockholm, Maine.  We traveled to my husband's home town to go to his brother and his wife's 50th wedding anniversary.  We really enjoyed the trip!  Just a few pictures of the sights around the lake where we stayed!

The sunflowers were a HUGE field of flowers that we saw in Westfield, outside Presque Isle.  They were awesome!

Summer is flying by!!  I am getting together with Sister's this week to make no sew Pine Cone Ornaments!!  Can't wait!

Summer 2018

I think this picture says it all!  It has been a busy summer!!! We have family here visiting from away and it has been go go go! Nothing but parties and fun, fun!  No chance to work in my craft room ...except I am still having fun working on Quilted Christmas balls.

All my sisters, except Adrianne who had to work, got together and went to Kennebunkport for some shopping!  Now I love shopping but with this hot weather it's almost a chore.  We did  have fun! Kennebunkport is so beautiful!

The photo below is of my sisters - Andrea and Phillis!  You can't tell from my photo but it is the back of a carved fish in front of a store!  Great photo op!!

Now I took the picture of the birds 'cause I thought they were hilarious! I think I could make one!

These looked like painted rocks in a gallery!!

We had lunch at Allisson's and it was fabulous... and air conditioned!  I could have stayed all day!

Shopping was great but the views were so breath taking!  Saw this just walking back to the car!

Hope my sister's don't kill me but here they are - minus one!  It was a fun day for sure!!
