Another Cascading Card

I have fallen in love with the 3 D Cascading card! I had to try another one! You can find the directions below on Sonia's blog but be sure to click on the picture of the magazine.  That is where the directions can be found.  Thank you for sharing this neat idea, Sonia!

3 D Valentine Card

I saw this 3 D card this over on Splitcoast Stampers this morning!  I just love how it stands on it's own and will collapse to mail.  I am still thinking of different ways to decorate others!  Check out this blog to find the instructions and then you can go to Splitcoast stampers and search TLC 362 to see other 3 D Cards!

Heart Banner

I am working on this Heart Banner for Valentine's Day. I got the idea from scanning the craft section on  www.pinterest.com.
That is a site that has tons of creative ideas for the home.  The recipes are fabulous too!  I am still exploring this site for ideas!  Our snow storm is just winding down this morning- so I am headed to work!  Hope you have a great day!

Welcome Baby!

Friends of my daughter and her husband brought home their new baby boy just recently.  I wanted to send them a card for this special event!  I have made the face of this giraffe before but really loved the way Wendybell created the body of her giraffe.  She lists all the punches she used to make her wonderful giraffe! Check it out here-

I have also made the lion previously but I was inspired to make him again when I saw him on Sam's blog here-

I don't have the SU punch she used for his mane so I used the Spellbinder's die that I have used before.  I love how he came out!

Here are a few more pictures of the inside and back of my card!  Welcome baby cards are a weakness for me - I just love making them!

Co-Worker Birthday!

We celebrated a co-worker's birthday this week! I decided to make her cake instead of buying one.  Well, the cake did come out moist and yummy but I am no decorator!  The You Tube videos make it look so easy! I am not going to give up!  I am going to practice any time I can.  This may hurt my New Year's resolution to lost weight but I feel I must perfect my decorating skills!  Look for more pictures of my practice sessions!

I wanted to share the card I made for the birthday celebration!  I took a class with my sisters at Stamped Designs in Dover, NH. Jeanette's Mom taught the class.  I loved using our Copic Markers to color the fine glitter.  The background circle is made using the Spellbinder's die that I believe is called the Fleur de lis.  I have a 3 day weekend this weekend so I am hopeful to spend some time in my studio.  Hope your weekend is fun!

Another New Year!

Happy New Year everyone!  We have had our Grandson, Ezra, visiting us the last few days.  He loves to work in Mimi's Studio and this Christmas he received a Crayola color and stamp set!  We have had a lot of fun playing with some of his new Christmas gifts!  I have been busy making some more magic boxes.  This one is to celebrate the New Year!
Here are some more pictures of my New Year's box.

I used metallic paper for the inside boxes.  This is what it looks like when you take the top off! I don't think the camera caught the glittery blue paper I used for the sides.  This box is very festive!

Here it is fully opened! I think it is so shiny you can see me taking the picture in the reflection! I used a Sizzix die for the glasses.
I read this sentiment on the internet somewhere and I love how well it works with the box!
Here is a picture of Ezra at his Aunt Con Con's house.  He is playing with her new Christmas gift.  He just loves the games she has on her new toy!  Mimi can't seem to master any of those games!
