Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas!  Sorry to be a day late but I was having issues with downloading pictures to my computer!  I had an upgrade and couldn't figure out how to transfer pictures!  Thank goodness my hubby figured it out.   Since my husband and I have recovered from Co-Vid, I have felt so much better and have been doing some more crafting!  Here are a few pictures of some of my projects!

This Nutcracker card is from My Scrap Chick's SVG files.  I have always had a thing for
Nutcrackers.  This card is easy to make and looks so cool!  Love it!

This is a Pop Up Christmas Tree.  It does fold to go in the envelope.  The SVG file is from Dreaming Tree.  They have videos done by Leo - that show you exactly how to put it together.  I love this company!!

The back of the tree is where you put your sentiment.  You could use this for a place marker at Christmas dinner too!

Dreaming Tree also provides the envelope!  This one would cost more to mail for sure but you could also just hand deliver this type of card.

This is one of my favorite projects!  Again, this svg file is from Dreaming Tree.  I have little lites in each block that can change color!  Love, Love this file!

I will end my post with some pictures of my Spoon Art!  I saw some wreaths on Pinterest that were made with plastic teaspoons and I had to try it!  But I wanted mine to go outside.  You have to use a high temp glue gun and I use Gorilla glue sticks.  I love how they came out!

The leaves are from Hobby Lobby!

Since you have to break off the spoon stems - I used the stems to make these daisies.  I am going to add leaves to these as well!  Such fun to make!

I want to wish everyone a very Happy New Year!  Stay healthy and be safe !!

Christmas 2020

I am sorry it has been so long since I have posted to my blog!  We traveled to Florida the first week in November.  We have been having a great time playing golf and enjoying the Florida weather.  But 2 weeks ago, my husband and I were diagnosed with Co-Vid 19.  I have been quite sick with the virus but my husband has only had sniffles.  Today is the 1st day I have felt like myself again, although still quite weak.

Before I can down with the virus - I did make some Slim Line cards.  I thought I would share a couple with you-

I love these little elves!  I used my Cricut to make the windows for the card.  I know they now
sell dies to do that but the Cricut makes it really easy!

These Slim Line cards are my new favorite thing to make!  The one above
made a great birthday card!

I love this card too!  Now it will cost more to mail but love, love cards with bling!
Aren't the bears cute?

This is just a short post but hope to feel stronger every day.  I want to start crafting again too!
I pray you all stay healthy!!

New home update

We moved into our new home about a month ago and we finally feel like we are home.  I bet we unboxed one hundred boxes!  It sure felt that way.  We moved from a fairly large home to a much smaller one!  I can see a yard sale in our future!
I wanted to show you an update to my craft room.  My sisters came over and help me set up the room.  It was really a challenge since I had a much larger room in our previous home.  But I do love how it turned out!

We  had an electrician come and install lights right over my desk!  What a difference!  I can really see the project that I am working on now!  Just love it!  I still use a peg board to store my Spellbinder dies.

We kept many of the same storage furniture that I had before.  These cabinets still work for my Sizzix machine and score board.  I also have a heavy duty cutter for chipboard that works here too.  My Stampin Up stamps and dies fit on the shelves too!

Years ago, my hubby, made these cubbies for storage for my paper.  They fit beautifully in the space!  I did have to buy some storage racks that hang over the doors.  The one above hold my ribbons!

The table above was in my old craft room - but now I use it for my Cricut machine and my laptop.  It is very convenient and that space has a lot of natural sunlight from the window!

Here is the other over the door storage rack I bought.  It holds my punches.  Who knew how many
punches I had!  Those suckers are heavy too-I am thankful that this rack can handle it!

Here is another shot of my paper storage area.  The drawers above the cubbies hold scraps of paper by color.  I hate throwing away any piece of paper I may be able to use!

Here is another shot of my desktop.  I purchased an organizer for my Tim Holtz inks.  I also bought Tim Holtz glass mat.  I love using that when I stamp or water color.  It makes for a much faster clean up!

These shelves were in my old craft room too!  I keep my dies ( that don't have stamps that go with them) on magnetic sheets from Stamp N Storage.  I keep them files in clear acrylic bins that are organized according to their use, ex.  Holidays, Flowers and/or nautical dies, etc.

One more look at my desktop.  I  have been working on making Slim Line Cards.  My new favorite thing.  Also, Rochelle showed us how to  make the cute bouquet of flowers with the vase at our last craft day at her house!

Sorry, for the long post but I thought I would show you my craft room!  I am really feeling motivated to work in this lovely space!

We will be headed to Florida in the next couple of weeks. I will keep you updated!  I can't believe how fast the summer went!  Halloween is almost here.  I wish you all a safe and fun Halloween!

New Home

I am sorry I haven't posted before now but my husband and I have been busy moving into our new home in Lisbon Falls!  Last year we sold our big home and downsized so we could purchase a small home in Florida and here in Maine.  We love the condo we bought in Northport, Florida and just recently found this cute cape type home in Lisbon.  This will be our forever home since I DO NOT want to move again.  We will be unpacking boxes forever!

I thought I would share what my Craft Room looks like right now.  It is in one of the spare bedrooms and is much smaller than what we had in the other house.  I am going to have to be very organized to make everything fit.

My desk will be located right behind the access door to over the garage.  I will share pictures once I have everything set up.

The cubes are getting set up now.  The hold my card stock very efficiently.
Below will be the area for my cutting board and my Sizzix machine.  Can't
wait until I can set stuff up!  My hubby is working on getting everything together.

We had been living with my sister and her husband in Yarmouth for the summer.   It took us awhile to find the right property and the market was very hot with many properties having multiple offers.  We could take our time finding the right property because of the generosity of my sis and bro in law.  We are so very grateful!

One of the last things I did before we moved was work on making this fun Explosion Box!  It was a SVG file that I purchased on Etsy from Les Penseesen Papier !  I love her work!

The little box in the middle opens up and you can put goodies in there!  Well, I will get back
to opening moving boxes and trying to get organized!  Hope everyone is doing well and staying healthy!

Pyramid Centerpiece

I am posting pictures of my newest project for Halloween!  It is a 10 inch Pyramid centerpiece.
It is made the same way as you make a Pyramid card but I cut out two sides of the triangle window and then folded it down to create a shelf.

You can use the shelf to put tea lights on and other fabulous stuff!  This one has a
skeleton head on it!

I love decorating for Halloween and it is coming up real soon!  I am finally
about to use my Halloween paper too!

Here are pictures of the one my sister, Connie, decorated for Thanksgiving. I love
how you can make a new scene on each side.

You can use stuff from your stash too!  Our dies comes in handy to add to
the decorations.

I think I will be making more of these fun centerpieces!  We are headed to my
sister, Rochelle's pool today.  It has been sooo hot- reaching 90 degrees yesterday!
Hope everyone is staying cool!

Another Theatre Card

I had to use these adorable bears from My Favorite Things!  They are the cutest!
The above picture is my Theatre card closed.

When you pull the snowflake edging - the card opens to display the skating scene.

Here is a close up !

I love the sentiment on the back!  Of course, for some reason, I am partial to blue at
Christmas.  This has to be one of my favorite cards!  Just love it!  I think I will move
on now from making Theatre cards but I truly love them.
This is just  a quick post to show you this card- Take care!!

Theatre Cards

I am loving these Theatre Cards!  Love how easy they are to make and
coming up with ideas to put inside the cards!  Fun, Fun!!
Sam at Mixed up crafts has a great tutorial - both written instructions and a
video- you can check it out here-

There are many more tutorials and examples on Pinterest. Below are a
few that I made for birthday cards.

The above is with the card closed and below is the back
where I put the sentiment.

'

My favorite is the Farm Yard Theatre Card.  It does make me
laugh to see these animals from Karen Burniston's
collection.

I think it's the googlie eyes that make me laugh.

Don't you love the catchy sentiment?

This card I might use as an anniversary card.  Love Graphic 45
paper!

I may make a few more of these cards!  Just love coming up
with ideas for them.

My sister's and I have been planning our youngest sister's 50th
birthday party for weeks.  Our theme was 50 & Fabulous!
I wanted to share a few pictures with you.
I have made this bouquet before and love how it comes out.  This
time I used red roses for my flowers.  This was made with the
svg file on Cricut from Dreaming Tree.

These favors were just the thing for our party.  We filled them
with cashew nuts.  Too hot to use chocolate candy.

And here is the Birthday girl!  Adrianne is the baby in our family. It is really
weird to realize she has turned 50!  I am sorry our planning has come to and end.  We
really had fun getting together to make this party happen,

Hope this post finds everyone happy and healthy!
