90 Candles!

I have finally finished making a special card for a special person who is celebrating their 90th Birthday soon!  I was inspired by the card I saw on Splitcoast Stampers.  I even loved the sentiment! Check it out here-

I have a new appreciation for 90 years of life!!!  As I made each candle- I realized this person has been alive for a LONG time!!!  I can't even imagine that I will make it to 90 years of age!!!  If I do- I hope I will have the sense of humor and quick wit that this special person had displayed for all the time I have known him!
Here are a few more pictures of this long, long card.  Can you tell I used the wing of SU's bird punch for the flame.  I loved using scraps of my favorite paper for the candles....many, many candles....!!! It really was fun to make!!!  I hope he enjoys it!

  1. This is truly a beautiful and special card. Think of all the cards and creations you have made with each candle. Think of all that this person has witness in 90 years. All the amazing things they have seen come to life. Wow!

  2. Aren't these fun to make. My sister and I do them as an assembly line so it isn't as tedious. I can't imagine making one by myself. I wouldn't have the patience. We have made two so far. Check out them out on our blog: http://www.doubleccreations.blogspot.com/search/label/90th The one from February has been posted on SCS; the other has not yet. The next one we will make will be 85 candles for our mom's b-day in June.
