Engagement!

Valentine's Day is over but I wanted to make a romantic card for my nephew and his new fiance!  I used Martha Stewart's punch around the page for the background.  The silhouette is from Cheery Lynn Designs as is the ornate heart that surrounds them.  I used a Spellbinder's die ( what is it called?)  with silver paper for the center.

Here is a shot of the back of the card- This is an older Stampin Up stamp( can't remember the name of this one either)- that I love!

I am so happy for both of them!!!  I haven't made an engagement card in ages!!

Co-Worker Birthday!

We celebrated a co-worker's birthday this week! I decided to make her cake instead of buying one.  Well, the cake did come out moist and yummy but I am no decorator!  The You Tube videos make it look so easy! I am not going to give up!  I am going to practice any time I can.  This may hurt my New Year's resolution to lost weight but I feel I must perfect my decorating skills!  Look for more pictures of my practice sessions!

I wanted to share the card I made for the birthday celebration!  I took a class with my sisters at Stamped Designs in Dover, NH. Jeanette's Mom taught the class.  I loved using our Copic Markers to color the fine glitter.  The background circle is made using the Spellbinder's die that I believe is called the Fleur de lis.  I have a 3 day weekend this weekend so I am hopeful to spend some time in my studio.  Hope your weekend is fun!
