Bridal Shower!

My sister, Adrianne's bridal shower was last Saturday!  I can finally show some of the projects I worked on for her shower!  It was so much fun to plan the shower with my sisters, Connie, Rochelle and Andrea!  Mom helped too!  It was the first party in our new home too!  I loved having family and friends come to celebrate such a wonderful event!

The banner above was made with Stampin Up's banner dies.  I borrowed them from my sister but I think I may have to purchase them myself.  It is a great way to make banners.  My sister, Rochelle made the fabulous letter "D" covered in pictures of my sister and her intended.  It is leaning against the TV. 

 

 

I wanted a picture of my sister with the decorations on the front porch.  We used the wedding dress from my sister Connie's wedding!  I made the flowers that you can just see on the top of the small ladder.  They are Origami flowers and really fun to make!

On the other side of the porch, I made Pinwheels using the We R Memory Keepers pinwheel maker board.  I love them!  The wind was blowing just enough to make them spin! 

 

Sorry this post is so long but I wanted to finish with the Screen Door we decorated with pictures of Adrianne thru the years- I used a Spellbinders die to make this banner.  The shower was a labor of love for Adrianne!  Can't wait for the wedding in June!

 

 

 

 

Bean Bags!

 

We have 2 weeks before my youngest sister Adrianne's bridal shower!  I am hosting this happy event at our new home!  I have been working feverishly to get things done since we just moved into the house in December.  I can't show you anything since I want my sister to be surprised!  Can't wait to share some of the projects! 

 

I did take time to make these adorable "Bean Bags" or at least that is what I call them.   I found Carolyn's tutorial on Pinterest here-

I love her little bags!  I did make my handles a little thicker- I used 1/2 inch and I added the strips from the handle down to the base strip.  I wanted them to look like a "Bean Bag".   You know- LL Bean's tote bags.  Carolyn's instruction are easy and fun to do!  The red bag was my first attempt so I made a few boo boos but the next ones came out much better. Carolyn put cards in them but I think I will put cello bags with candy in them and give them as gifts.   I love em! 

 

 

 

Cousin's Birthday

My husband's cousin is celebrating a birthday this week!  I had to take some time and make her a birthday card!  I love, love the card in a box designs and I love making this fun type of card.  This one looks like a birthday celebration to me!

 

I used a bunch of different pink papers from my stash.  The "cheers" stamp is from a Stampin up stamp set - the name escapes me.

 

 

I am working on a bunch of different projects for my sister, Adrianne's up coming bridal shower.  The happy event is in April but I have plenty of fun stuff to do- favors, banners and general decorations.  I can't wait !!!  The funest part is - I am doing the shower with my sisters!  I think it is going to be memorable!!

 

 

Last picture is above!  This is a very girly card!   I loved making it!  As soon as I can show some of my projects - I will!  But I don't want my sister to see...sh.... I want to show you some pictures of my new craft room too.... It's a mess now but I am having some fun!!  Hope your weekend is fun too!!

 

 

 

Disney 2015

Lego Dragon


 

 We went to Disney World and stayed at Board Walk  the first week in February!  The weather was fine  - not hot but 60's and 70's.   I loved it!  Now that another winter storm is coming - I would go back in a wink!  I wanted to share just a couple of pictures of our trip.  Once I looked back at our pictures, I realized dragons seemed to be a theme for me.   My grandson, Ezra, will love that!

How cool is this dragon!  It was a little cool the day of the parade so I was hoping this dragon would look my way.  I could almost feel the heat from his mouth!!!

Last pictures-  I love the candy store at Downtown Disney.  I go in just to take pictures- maybe buy a couple of sweets too!  I will end my post here- We had fun but it is great to be home to our new home.   Can't wait til we go back to Disney again!!!

Another update!

 

 

The good news -  I have emptied all the boxes!  The bad news- well, check out my pictures!  Stuff is everywhere!  I have made some progress but I am still trying to figure out where to put everything!  I work full time so it mostly happens on the weekends.  Can't wait until it's all done! I think it will be .... sometime soon,...I hope.  I will let the pictures do the talking... Back soon!

Craft room update!

 

Happy New Year!  I hope everyone's New Year was fun!  We moved into our new home 2 weeks before Christmas!  The holidays are now over and it really is starting to feel like "our" home!  But the last room to unpack is my Craft room.  I am excited to be above ground.  My previous craft room was in the cellar of our condo.  My new room is on the 2nd floor!  Lots of natural sunlight!!  I am anxious to get everything organized!  My hubby is helping me get things set up.  I will update with pictures along the way!

 

I think I am sort of a hoarder!  I ended up throwing out lots of stuff I collected but realized I would probably never use- like old stamping  magazines that I bought years ago, different sized containers that I thought I could decorate and never did.   It did feel good to let them go!

I will share some photos of the process of getting my room back together!  Hopefully, I can started crafting soon!  I need some Thank you cards shortly so no more delays!   It is going to be a great year!!!
