Wedding Flying Easel Card

I love this die from Cheery Lynn Designs!  I use it for Weddings and Anniversaries!  My sister and her husband are celebrating their 8th Anniversary today!  This card is a perfect card to say, "Congratulations"!    The Flying Easel card is easy to make!  I was inspired by Karen Burniston's Halloween card that I saw on Pinterest. I cut a square out just big enough to let this die fit into-You use 2 dies ...one for the back and one for the front.  It was a little challenging to glue the outside of the dies  together.  On the inside of the die, I only glued the heads of the Bride and Groom together.   The bow is made from a MFT ribbon die.  The "Congrats" die is from Spellbinders.  I also added a little gem covered  tulle-like fabric to the bride's dress.  See below for more pictures....

I used a different decorative paper on the back of the card.   I also added a little bling to the die cut along with some pearls.

Flying Easel Card

Our daughter, Emily, has a birthday coming up soon!  I have been working on her card and was inspired by the Flying Easel Cards I have seen on Pinterest.  I love how you can hang something from the inside of any die that you use on the Easel Card.  I hung a Rosette from this one.  It can fold up and be mailed in an envelope, too!    I think this will be the first of a few of these type cards that I will make!  Hope Emily will like it!

I have been busy, busy working on a commissioned Wedding Vertical Paper Bag album! I will share some pictures when it is completed!   But our Grandson's birthday is this weekend so I had to make a birthday card to celebrate his special day.  We are headed to the island to help him celebrate!  We went to the Despicable Me 2 movie this summer and I heard him laugh out load during the movie, so I know he loved it!  This is another Tri-fold card that is so easy to make!  I used a bunch of dies to make the little minions.  The sentiment makes me laugh but he really is "One in a Minion"!

I hadn't shared any pictures of my porch this summer, at least I don't think I have...Since September is here and fall is just around the corner- I thought I would show you our porch!  I bought some tea cups at the flea market this summer and planted a few succulents in them.   The hat was my Mother-law's hat.  I love seeing it hanging there- it reminds me of her when ever I pass by it.  My Dad made the wooden tool box.  He died a few years ago and it too reminds me of him.  Loving memories of both my Dad and Queenie.

I put out the rug and chairs every year but this year we really seemed to use the chairs more often.  We sat out many nights and watched the moon.  I love rocking in them during the day in the warm sun.  It really is a wonderful porch!

I love the baby carriage in the picture above too! This year the flowers I planted did really well.  You never know how the plants will do since this porch doesn't get sun all day.  The plants below are in the corner and don't get much sun at all.  I think they are called New Guinea Impatiens.   We had lots of flowers this summer on these plants.  They seem to know fall is coming and have stopped blooming so much.  The pump at the top was from a flea market too!  Speaking of flea markets- I am headed today with my sisters to Brimfield!!!  I can't wait!  I will post a few pictures of our adventure at the biggest flea market of all!! Hope you all have a fabulous day!!

Good bye Owl Card

We said Good bye last week to a co-worker that has gone back to college!  I wanted to make him a card that would let him know we are really going to miss him!  I am not good at making masculine cards at all!!  Here is my attempt at a Good- bye owl card.  I used some Graphic 45 paper and of course, Stampin Up's owl punch.  That punch has to be one of my favorite!  This style of card is the Tri Fold card-another favorite.

Here is a video of my 5 year old grandson, Ezra!  He has watched the videos on my blog and wanted to make one of his own.  He did pretty good for a first timer- only a few glitches!   I thought it was adorable!

Travel Vertical Bag Mini Album

I have just finished making another Vertical Mini Album Paper Album for a co-worker.  This one is centered around Travel.  I took my time on this album and added some die cuts and punch art for added interest.  I also made my own Chunky Charm for the 1st time!  This video is just a quick look at the pages of this album.  The instructions are from Ginger at My Sister's Scrapper!  She is fabulous!
Have a fabulous day!

Birthday Mobile

I bought the Petal Cone die by Sizzix. It is perfect to make this type of mobile.  I wanted to make something different for my sister, Rochelle's birthday.  I thought a mobile would be fabulous!  I used 2 of  Martha Stewart's butterfly punches.  The largest butterfly die is from Memory Box.   The gems are from a flea market- I don't remember which one.   I glued 2 strips of 1/2 inch cardstock together.  I put random eyelets in the strip and then hung gold cording from each eyelet.  The strip was glued  to the underside of the mobile.    I loved making it for Rochelle- Her birthday is tomorrow but we got together today for her special day!

Another pic

Here is a video I made to show you the movement of this birthday mobile.

Pocket Mini Album!

I made this album from the directions from Ginger at My Sisters Scrapper!  It was fun to make and easy too!  Ginger's instructions are always easy to follow!  Check out her blog for tons on inspiration and other great videos on making all kinds of different albums!

I am so proud of myself since I figured out how to add a note to my video!  I goofed on the type of die I used and didn't want to re-record this video.  I usually have so many ews & ahs that I have to record my video over again- this one didn't have too many.  So anyway-I found out how to add the note- it really was sooo easy!  Maybe I will add music next time???  I plan to give this album to a friend.  I really hope she will like it!  Mini albums are my new thing and I love, love making them!  My sister's and I are into making the charms that hang on the spine of the mini album.  Wow, who knew there were so many options for beads and charms!   I have a couple of birthday cards to make and I am working on a travel album and then I will try my hand at a Wedding album.  What fun! Did I mention I am on vacation!  This first week has flown by but I still have another week to go!  One project was a wonderful potting bench my husband built for me that I stained and painted!  I will have to share a picture on my next post. I also stained and painted a bench for our front porch.  I have really been busy working on these projects and just having fun!  Hope you have a fabulous day!
